Monument Moment
A Historic Landmark
NEWS UPDATE
Greater Tabernacle Cathedral was recently highlighted on FOX 32 Chicago’s Monument Moment, a segment that showcases significant historic and cultural landmarks
throughout the city.
The feature recognized our church not only as a house of worship, but as a historic architectural treasure with deep roots in Chicago’s story. The building was designed by renowned Pullman architect Solon Spencer Beman, whose work helped shape some of the most notable structures in the Pullman community.
The coverage also acknowledged the church’s historical ties to Barack Obama, who began his community organizing work in the Roseland area — further connecting the legacy of our church to a broader narrative of faith, community development, and civic transformation.

The people closest to us can have a powerful influence on our choices, direction, and spiritual growth. In “Check Your Circle,” Dr. Eric L. Booker explores the importance of examining the relationships and voices we allow to shape our lives.
Through biblical truth and practical life application, this message challenges us to consider who strengthens our faith, who encourages our growth, who tells us the truth, and who may be pulling us away from God’s purpose.
Sometimes changing your direction begins with checking your circle.
"Don't underestimate what one worship service can do.
One word from God can change the direction of your entire life."
-Dr. Eric L. Booker
